Workspace item types

Many of the items you work with in the application can be categorized into one of the following areas.

  • work items - You can search for work items in Global search, and when you open any of these items, a work item entry will appear below the hubs in the left column.

  • affiliated items - These items are attached to a work item. These include Tasks, Notes, and Attachments, which are all available from the toolbar when you have an open work item. Affiliated items open in a separate window or work tray at the bottom of your active task.

  • integrated items - Integrated items allow you to work with multiple work item types. These include Distribution Lists, the Inbox hub, the Send To feature, the Scheduler, Mass update options, and Export provider data to SkillSurvey.

    Note

    Some forms include a form-specific mailbox system consisting of such items as an inbox, outbox error, and archive inbox. These form-specific mailbox items appear as tabs within a form, and are used to assemble items for you to send to the inbox hub (or symplr Provider inbox) for download and distribution. The inbox hub is always available in the left pane of symplr Provider.
